Switched full time to GNOME 2.5, and Evolution 1.5. Things are quite stable now. Had to compile Mozilla HEAD from CVS, the Indic patch worked fine. GNOME 2.5 looks really cool - and there are very few crashes - quite impressive for a development branch.
Shit man!! ‘Tis a great screenshot… I want it so bad…
The GNOME 2.4 sources are out with the LFY mag cd… I tried my luck to install it… some sources arent compiling for dependency errors… I tried on MDK 9.1 (Gnome 2.2) and RH 8 (gnome 2)… I have all rge development libraries of GNOME installed… can u tell what seems to be the problem… Should I not use GUI while installing it?
I was hoping if u could put up a post for some of us lamers who have bo prior experience of installing a desktop environment from sources…

Hey - you can try an article I wrote a long time back, or, you can refer to the doc at http://www.karubik.de/gig/, whic is more up to date and more or less error free. You may also try out Garnome.
Everything on this site are my own personal opinions and thoughts. My employer has nothing to do with them.
