I have been redoing the Akaash font as AkaashAbnormal - following the absurd (in my humble opinion) new glyph standards proposed by the Pashchim Banga Bangla Academy. Anyway - it’s less work on my part - so I guess that I shouldn’t be complaining. I also have plans to add some proper Assamese support to this font. I expect to do a beta release by the end of this week - so if you are interested in beta testing, get in touch with me.



Indra-da and SM came over to my house today - and we had a nice time (Biriyani, laptop hacking, general adda etc).

I also plan to do a thorough review of the translations of the Bangla translations of Fedora Core 2 - they seem to be quite wierd sometimes. You can’t blame the translators - it can be very, very difficult to guess the context of a particular isolated message - unless you see it in actual action. Since I have been using FC for quite some time - I am quite familiar with their UI, and hopefully, I would be able to clean up some of the odd translations.
